Indonesia is an agricultural region where most of its citizens are farmers whose profession is. In this case, the Indonesian government is doing many things to improve agriculture, one of which is providing agricultural extension. The goal is to give the public a better understanding of agriculture. From time to time the number of Indonesian farmers will experience a decline because in the current period there has been a decline in performance and also the interest of young people to continue working in the agricultural sector has also begun to decline. Conditions like this, if left unchecked, could endanger the agricultural sector because the number of farmers will decrease and the sustainability of agricultural development will weaken over time. The aim of this research is to analyze and obtain empirical evidence regarding the interest of the younger generation in becoming farmers and the factors that influence it. The sampling technique uses Non Probability, namely the accidental sampling method. And data collection methods through questionnaires, observation and documentation. Hypothesis testing was carried out using logistic regression analysis. The results of the research show that the entire young generation in Paran Padang Village has an interest in becoming farmers, namely 96.2%. The factors that influence the interest of the younger generation in becoming farmers in Paran Padang Village are motivation, gender, education, which have an insignificant
