The most significant food crop, maize comes in second place after rice. Corn is incredibly healthy for both people and animals (livestock). Corn kernels generally contain 1.2–5.0 % fat, almost 86 %. To achieve maximum results, post-harvest handling must be carried out properly, with a water content of 17–20 %, this is to suppress the activity of microorganisms to ensure a smooth shelling procedure. This study aims to find the ideal thresher tooth to maximize corn shelling on a corn sheller type MCT 18–75 E. A completely randomized, non-factorial design was used in this investigation. Considering the thickness is 8 mm (T1), 10 mm (T2), and 12 mm (T3). After the research, the best result were obtained in the thickness of the thresher teeth of treatment 3, namely 12 mm. The result showed the largest effective capacity of the tool (50,58 kg/hour) in ( T3) with a size of 12 mm, the largest yield (80,13 %) in (T3) with a size of 12 mm and the percentage of material left in the largest tool (32,17 %) in (T1) with a size of 8 mm.
