dc.description.abstract | There are several ways of cultivating rice in Indonesia, both from the source of production materials, irrigation and others. Based on the use of production materials, rice can be cultivated in two ways, namely by using organic materials and inorganic materials. These two farming businesses have different income and costs which are the problems in this research. The purpose of this research is to see the difference between organic rice farming income and inorganic rice farming income, the causes of these differences and to see how much change in income will occur if the selling price decreases and production costs increase in Serdang Bedagai Regency. Farming analysis is used to obtain income values in both farming businesses and the Independent T-Sample Test is used to see the differences in income that occur. The simulation method with two scenarios is used to see the sensitivity of the income of the two farming businesses. The results obtained show that the income of organic rice farming is higher than that of inorganic rice farming, namely with each income of Rp31,317,405/ha/growing season and Rp27,277,691/ha/growing season. Labor, especially TKDK, has a large proportion of costs. The distribution of TKDK is seen through the Probability Density Function (PDF) and Cumulative Distribution Function (CDF) graphs. The results of the comparison of income sensitivity between the two farming businesses in a scenario of a 20% price decrease and a 20% increase in variable costs (seeds, seedlings, fertilizers) show that organic rice farming is not more profitable than inorganic rice farming | en_US |
