In the Heritage City Arrangement and Preservation Program established by the Ministry of Public Works, Medan City is part of the cities in Indonesia that are being developed to become Heritage Cities. The Medan Polonia and Medan Maimun sub-district areas are areas that have various functions of cultural heritage buildings located on the. Suprapto St. and Sudirman St. corridors, Medan. The phenomenon found in this corridor is that the high rate of population growth in the sub-district causes growth in community activity which has the potential to cause problems related to the physical carrying capacity of cultural heritage buildings and has an impact on damage to cultural heritage buildings due to the inability of physical carrying capacity and also causes user dissatisfaction. buildings and residents living around cultural heritage buildings. This research aims to analyse the Study of the Influence of Carrying Capacity on the Preservation of Cultural Heritage Buildings. The research method used is a quantitative method with descriptive data explanation. Data collection was carried out through direct observation in the field and distributing questionnaires. The research results show that the carrying capacity element simultaneously influences the five cultural heritage building objects with an average percentage of 39.04%, where local community variables and physical elements are variables that partially influence the five cultural heritage building research objects. Meanwhile, based on observations in the field, elements of building users, government policies and physical elements are elements that always influence the five research objects of cultural heritage buildings.
