dc.description.abstract | The development of a fish crushing hammer mill machine for making animal feed pellets is an important thing to note, because the quality of the livestock is seen from the quality and quality of the pellets. One of the companies that produce this machine is CV. Micro Enterprises. In the context, there are problems associated with the actual design of the machine, namely the amount of production time, production costs and hazards to users/operators on the product eaused by production activities on the components of the knife shaft and sieve. There is a need for development and innovation in the actual design of the machine in order to reduce time, production costs and hazards and contribute to effective animal feed management. The improvement design uses the integrated concepts of Design For Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) and Design For Safety (DFS). Identification of problems in the research using the DFMA Worksheet Method and Efficiency Design and Factor of Safety using Solidworks and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The results of the proposed design provide an increase in the efficiency value by 5 %, a reduction in assembly time by 1420 minutes and a reduction in assembly costs by Rp. 410.000. | en_US |
