The cooling tank is a heat exchange device whose working fluid is water, and air functions to cool
the water through direct contact with the air, causing a small portion of the water to evaporate. This
water will flow into the hollow part of the roof, which is expected to absorb heat as it passes through
the cavity. This paper compares four roof structures that incorporate composite layers to identify the
most effective and superior options. This study evaluates the performance, thermal insulation
properties, resistance to environmental factors, heat holding capacity, energy efficiency, and
economic feasibility of composite coatings applied to roofs. This research aims to obtain the value of
the effectiveness of the heat transfer rate in the perforated roof, as well as determine the amount of
energy in the perforated roof cooling water tank which can be discharged every hour and determine
the water discharge. required to supply a hollow roof. From these tests it can be concluded that Roof
3 has a high room temperature, followed by Roof 1, Roof 4, and Roof 2. Finally, it can be concluded
that Roof 2 is able to absorb more heat energy from sunlight than other materials.
