Analisis Perubahan Jinrikisha di Asakusa pada Masa Modern (Meiji-Reiwa) Kindai Ni Okeru (Meiji-Reiwa) Asakusa De No Jinrikisha No Hensen No Bunseki

Abstract

This research discusses Jinrikisha (two-wheeled vehicles pulled by human power) in Asakusa, Japan. The aim of this research is to describe the changes that occurred in Jinrikisha in Asakusa from the Meiji era to the modern era (Heisei-Reiwa), as well as the factors that influenced them. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods and library methods. The data collected comes from documentation studies in the form of books, websites, articles, videos and supporting images. The theory used to analyze is the theory of social change. The results of this research are that Jinrikisha in Asakusa experienced changes in terms of decreasing the number of units, changes in design, decoration and ornament, changes in role and function, materials, exploration or development, and government regulations. This research found several factors that influenced the changes, namely technological advances, changes in people's lifestyles and preferences, economic growth and the development of the tourism industry.
