The millennial generation was born in an era that has easy access to financial institutions such as banking, leasing and other financial institutions. Because of this convenience, sometimes the millennial generation does not manage their finances properly. The purpose of this research is to find out whether income and financial knowledge have a positive and significant effect on personal financial management behavior through locus of control in the Millennial Generation at shipping companies in Medan. The research was conducted on employees who fall into the Millennial Generation category of employees at the Medan shipping company. The population in this study is the Millennial Generation at shipping companies in Medan, totaling 96 people. with a sample of 77 people. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to respondents in the study and the data was processed using the PLS model evaluation which consisted of two stages: evaluation of the outer model and evaluation of the inner model. The results showed that financial knowledge had a positive and significant effect on personal financial management behavior through locus of control on Millennial Generation at shipping companies in Medan, while income had no significant and positive effect on personal financial management behavior through locus of control on Millennial Generation at shipping companies. in Medan.
