Analisis Performansi Proses Pengemasan Produk Pakan Udang Vaname dengan Simulasi Arena di PT. Central Proteina Prima Tbk

Abstract

Queuing is a science that discusses the form of a queuing system where there is a group of people or goods lined up to be served by a particular company. Queuing also analyzes how a company is able to determine the best time and facilities so that customers get the best service. PT Central Proteina Prima Tbk is a leading aquaculture company in Indonesia which was founded in April 1980. PT Central Proteina Prima. Tbk produces and sells feed, seeds, animal feed, probiotics, and shrimp products as well as processed food products for domestic and export markets. Until now, PT Central Proteina Prima has not carried out further analysis regarding the performance and effectiveness of the packaging system. The general objective of this research is to determine the performance of the packaging system at PT Central Proteina Prima using arena simulation. The research results show that there is a queue in one of the packaging system units, namely the feed production machine, which causes the long waiting time required for a product to be processed to completion. The proposed improvement that can be given is to add 1 unit of packing machine.
