dc.description.abstractsub-tropical areas. The quality of essential oils in Indonesia is increasingly declining. The decline in export volume and low price of vetiver oil is caused by low production and quality of vetiver oil. Planting vetiver under appropriate salinity conditions can increase secondary metabolites and vetiver growth so it is necessary to screen several vetiver ecotypes at various salinity levels. Salinity is a problem that causes a decline in the production of various crops in the world, including Indonesia. The application of appropriate strategies needs to be carried out to reduce the negative impact of salinity on vetiver, namely technical culture measures with the application of salicylic acid and mycorrhiza. This research aims to obtain vetiver ecotypes that are suitable for planting in salinity conditions and obtain vetiver production with technical culture through the use of salicylic acid and mycorrhiza in salinity conditions. Stage 1 of the research was screening several vetiver ecotypes using a factorial completely randomized design with 2 factors. The first factor is salinity stress which consists of no salinity, 4 dSm-1 salinity, 8 dSm-1 salinity, 12 dSm-1 salinity, 16 dSm-1 salinity, and 20 dSm-1 salinity, while the second factor is ecotype which consists of Bogor, Bojonegoro, and Padang, where 3 replications were made for each treatment. Stage 2 of the research was technical culture of vetiver in salinity conditions with salicylic acid and mycorrhiza. At this stage a factorial Completely Randomized Design was used with 3 factors. The first factor is the best ecotype and salinity which consists of the Padang ecotype at a salinity of 4-5 dSm-1 and the Padang ecotype at a salinity of 8-9 dSm-1, the second factor is salicylic acid which consists of no salicylic acid, 0.5mM salicylic acid and 1 mM salicylic acid, and the third factor was mycorrhiza consisting of no mycorrhiza, Glomus sp mycorrhiza and Gigaspora sp mycorrhiza, where each treatment was made in 3 repetitions. The results showed that the best production of vetiver was obtained with the application of 0.5 mM salicylic acid and mycorrhiza Gigaspora sp. The research results showed that the Padang ecotype at salinities of 4 dSm-1 and 8 dSm-1 was the best vetiver ecotype based on essential oil production. The results showed that the best production of vetiver was obtained with the application of 0.5 mM salicylic acid and mycorrhiza Gigaspora sp.en_US
