This study was conducted to determine the effect of the independent variables growth opportunity, leverage, company size, financial distress, and liquidity on the dependent variable on hedging decisions in manufacturing companies in the basic and chemical industry sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2019-2022 period. This research is a causal research. The study population consisted of 73 companies, the purposive sampling method was used to obtain a sample of 53 companies with 212 observation data for a four-year period (2019-2022). The data analysis tests used are descriptive statistics, classical assumptions, models, logistic regression analysis, hypotheses, and classification matrices, which are processed using the SPSS 26 program. The results state that partially the growth opportunity, leverage, financial distress, and liquidity variables do not affect hedging decisions, and the company size variable affects hedging decisions in a positive direction. Meanwhile, simultaneously all independent variables affect the dependent variable of hedging decisions.
