Evaluasi Program Bantuan Pangan Non Tunai di Kelurahan Suka Makmur Kecamatan Siantar Marihat Kota Pematangsiantar

Abstract

Poverty is a problem related to social, economic, cultural and other aspects. The complex problem of poverty has become a phenomenal problem in parts of the world, including Indonesia. Eradicating poverty is still a complicated problem that must be addressed. Poverty Reduction is a government and regional government policy and program that is carried out systematically, planned and in synergy with the business world and society to reduce the number of poor people in order to increase the level of people's welfare. The BPNT program and the basic food program are programs issued by the government whose aim is to help poor households meet their food needs. The aim of this research is to find out how the non-cash food assistance program is evaluated in alleviating poverty in Suka Makmur Village, Siantar Marihat District, Pematangsiantar City. Data collection techniques were carried out by conducting observations, interviews and documentation. In obtaining conclusions, data obtained in the field was processed by analyzing qualitatively with a descriptive approach. The results of this research indicate that the non-cash food assistance program in alleviating poverty in Suka Makmur Village, Siantar Marihat District, Pematangsiantar City is considered to be effective. This program is also very helpful in overcoming poverty, where the beneficiary group feels a good impact in helping with food needs and this assistance helps them manage their finances for other needs such as education and health.
