Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of tourism development on the level of community education in Deli Serdang Regency, to determine the impact of tourism development on community employment in Deli Serdang Regency, to determine the impact of tourism development on the level of community income in Deli Serdang Regency. The process of tourism development will be accompanied by benefits and losses. If tourism development is able to optimize the benefits and minimize the losses, it will have a prosperous impact on the surrounding community. This research uses descriptive research with a quantitative approach. This research involved the community around the Deli Serdang Regency tourism area as samples. The sample in this study was taken using the infinitive formula. Data collection techniques are carried out using questionnaires or questionnaires as the main instrument. Data analysis with validity and reliability tests. For calculations use SPPS 26. Through the chi square results, it is known that tourism development has a significant impact on the socio-economic conditions of the communities around the Deli Serdang Regency tourism location. Apart from that, through symmetric measures analysis it is known that tourism development has a contribution of 21.3% to the socio-economic conditions of the community around the Deli Serdang Regency tourism location. This means that tourism development in Deli Serdang Regency is able to improve the socio-economic conditions of the local community, both in terms of education, employment and income.
