The Relationship between Gander and Use of Social Media with Sexual Behavior of Public Health Faculty Students Universitas Sumatera Utara in 2024
Abstract
Sexual behavior is behavior that is driven by a sexual desire, be it with the opposite sex or with the same sex. There are various forms of sexual behavior, such as feelings of interest to dating behavior, making out or intercourse and also many factors that influence sexual behavior, one of which is social media (Sarwono, 2012). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between gender and the use of social media with the sexual behavior of students of the Faculty of Public Health, University of North Sumatra in 2024. The type of research used is quantitative research with an analytical survey technique approach with a cross sectional study research design. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Public Health, University of North Sumatra. The sample of this study were 68 students of the Faculty of Public Health, University of North Sumatra. Data collection tools using questionnaires. Data analysis using chi square test. The results of the results of this study, it can be concluded that gender does not have a significant relationship with sexual behavior in students of the Faculty of Public Health, University of North Sumatra with a p-value of 0,654 and the results of the chi-square test show that there is a significant relationship between the use of social media with sexual behavior in students of the Faculty of Public Health, University of North Sumatra with a p-value of 0,021. For students, it is expected to be improved and paid attention to when using social media so that they can become good and wise social media users.
