Penerapan Sistem Informasi dalam Pengelolaan Perpustakaan Berbasis Website pada Perpustakaan Pusat Penelitian Kelapa Sawit

Abstract

Information technology is currently developing rapidly. The use of websites in conveying information is very helpful and beneficial for institutions or companies. Conveying information with a website does not require a long time and can be done from anywhere. This study aims to determine the Application of Information Systems in Website-Based Library Management at the Palm Oil Research Center Library. This research uses qualitative methods with the type of data source used is primary data, which is obtained from the field in the form of observations and interviews. The results of the research that have been conducted show that the application of information systems in website-based library management at the Palm Oil Research Center Library has been running well, it can be seen from most of the Palm Oil Research Center library employees in managing circulation services, collection inventory, reports and statistics, as well as system modules (barcodes, labeling, and others) so that they can make employees feel helped and feel light at work to solve problems. Web-based implementation at the Palm Oil Research Center library using the Senayan Library Management System (SLiMS) application provides various benefits in assisting library work.
