Analysis of the Implementation of Active Fire Protection System in PT Triguna Internusa Pratama Cilegon District in 2024
Abstract
Active fire protection systems are important to fire prevention and suppression efforts. Thus, this study aims to analyze the implementation of active fire protection systems such as fire detection systems in the form of gas detectors and flame detectors, fire alarms, extinguishing water systems in the form of yard hydrants, mobile/manual extinguishing systems in the form of Mobile Fire Extinguishers (APAB) and Light Fire Extinguishers (APAR) at PT Triguna Internusa Pratama Cilegon district in 2024 which are compared by Permenaker No.02 /MEN/1983, NFPA 72, SNI 03-3985-2000, Permen PU No.26/PRT/M/2008 and SNI 03-1745-2000, SNI 180-2: 2022 and Permenaker No.04/MEN/1980. The type of research conducted in this study is descriptive. Data was obtained through direct observation in the environment of PT Triguna Internusa Pratama Cilegon district in the form of observation checklist sheets, and interviews to support this research. The results showed that the average suitability of implementing an active fire protection system at PT Triguna Internusa Pratama Cilegon district was 88.74%. With the fire detection and alarm system results reaching 81.03% by the Minister of Labor Regulation No. Per. 02/Men/1983, NFPA 72 and SNI 03-3985-2000, the results of the examination of the extinguishing water system are 98.72% by Permen PU No.26/PRT/M/2008 and SNI 03-1745-2000, the results of the mobile/manual extinguishing system are 88.33% by SNI 180-2: 2022, and the results of the application of light fire extinguishers are 86.91% by Permenaker No.4 of 1980. It is recommended to the company management to improve and maintain the active fire protection system at PT Triguna Internusa Pratama Cilegon district such as calibrating and adding a fire detection system in the workspace, improving the placement of hydrants, mobile fire extinguishers equipped with trolly and easily readable usage labels, and repairing fire extinguisher elements that are not up to standard.
