Young adult is the age group that potentially experiences psychosocial problems such as stress, anxiety, depression, emotional health problems and even self- harm. In connection with psychosocial development during young adulthood, an individual undergoes considerable changes within themselves and their surrounding environment. Students have the potential to experience psychosocial problems characterized by the presence of emotional responses such as anxiety, indecisive, frustration and apprehension. This descriptive research aims to identify psychosocial development in students of the Faculty of Engineering of Universitas Sumatera Utara. The research uses simple random sampling technique by involving 82 respondents to participate in the research. The research questionnaire consists of questionnaires of respondent characteristics and psychosocial development. The results indicate that 61 respondents have psychosocial development with the category of achieved (74.4%) and 25.6% of respondents have psychosocial development with the category of unachieved. It is expected that counseling division of the faculty pays attention to the student's achievement of psychosocial development tasks so emotional-mental disorders can be avoided.
