Knowledge is the result of human curiosity to understand various things through specific methods and tools. This study aims to describe the knowledge of non-health students about HIV/AIDS transmission and prevention at Universitas Sumatera Utara. This research uses a quantitative method with a descriptive design. The population of this study comprises all undergraduate students from the 2023 cohort in non-health faculties at Universitas Sumatera Utara. The sample consists of 98 respondents selected using purposive sampling technique. The results show that 36.7% of respondents have good knowledge about HIV/AIDS transmission and prevention, 59.2% have adequate knowledge, and 4.1% have insufficient knowledge. These findings indicate a variation in the level of knowledge among non-health students regarding HIV/AIDS. Therefore, there is a need for more effective educational and awareness efforts to enhance students' knowledge and awareness about the importance of HIV/AIDS prevention and transmission.
