Penurunan Kandungan Merkuri pada Beberapa Varietas Padi (Oryza sativa L.) Menggunakan Tanaman Eceng Gondok (Eichhornia crassipes) pada Lahan Tercemar Merkuri di Kabupaten Mandailing Natal
Reducing Mercury Content in Several Varieties of Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Using Water Hyacinth Plants (Eichhornia crassipe) on Mercury Polluted Land in Mndailing Natal Regency
Abstract
There are differences in the response of rice varieties to land contaminated with mercury. There is the influence of water hyacinth plants (Eichhornia crassipes) with various population sizes as phytoremediation of soil contaminated by mercury. There is an interaction between phytoremediation of water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) and rice varieties on reducing mercury uptake. This research was carried out Research This research will be carried out on land rice fields in Mandailing Natal Regency with an altitude of 500 meters above sea level for planting and testing. The analysis was carried out at the Faculty Biology Laboratory Agriculture, University of North Sumatra. The research used a Randomized Design Factorial group consisting of 2 factors with 4 replications. First factor is the phytoremediation water hyacinth treatment population (F), namely: without water hyacinth (F0), water hyacinth 5 plants/plot (F1), water hyacinth 10 plants/plot (F2), water hyacinth 15 plants/plot (F3). The second factor is the rice variety consisting of: V1 = Ciherang, V2 = IR-64, V3 = IR-32.
