Analisis Pengaruh Safety Culture terhadap Safety Performance pada Pekerja di PKS Pagar Merbau PTPN IV Palmco Region II

Abstract

Sumatera contributes 78% of Indonesia's total palm oil production. Therefore, cultural safety is a very important aspect for every palm oil factory in Sumatra in carrying out its business processes to avoid work accidents. The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of safety culture on the safety performance of workers at the Pagar Merbau PKS PTPN IV PalmCo Region II. The research method used was distributing questionnaires to workers and then analyzing them using a simple linear regression analysis method with the help of SPSS software and the SEM-PLS method with the help of SmartPLS 4 software. The results of the research showed that safety culture influences safety performance in workers with a T-count value > T-table (4.902 > 2.014). The contribution of the safety culture variable in explaining the safety performance variable is 33.4%. Based on the SEMPLS test, the results showed that the dimensions that form safety culture, namely safety awareness and safety communication, have a significant effect on the dimensions that form safety performance, namely safety participation. So it is recommended that improvements and improvements be made in various K3 aspects such as providing safety signs at all work stations, optimizing the existing communication system to make it more effective and efficient, and ensuring workers always use complete PPE and according to their needs, followed by management's commitment to facilitate workers.
