Abstract
Pre-design of factory aluminium oxide from bauxite and sodium hidroxide using bayer process with production capacity of 1,400,000 tons/year, operating
for 300 days a year. The main process in this pre-design of the plant consists of five stages: grinding, digestion, washing, precipitation, and calcination.
Aluminium Oxide plant is planned to be established in the Tayan Hilir district of Sangau Regency, West Kalimantan Province, with a land area of 29.315 m2. It will require 217 employees and will be structured as a Limited Liability Company (PT).
The results of the economic analysis of this Portland Pozzolan Cement plant are as follows:
1. Total Investment Capital = Rp. 5.599.330.542.826,-
2. Total Production Cost = Rp. 8.881.115.940.080
3. Sales Revenue = Rp. 10.800.239.254.228
4. Net Profit = Rp. 1.919.123.314.148
5. Break Even Point (BEP) = 30,667%
6. Return on Investment (ROI) = 8,841 %
7. Pay Back Period (PBP) = 11 years
8. Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 22,538 %
From the economic analysis results, it can be concluded that the Pre-Design Of Factory Aluminium Oxide From Bauxite And Sodium Hidroxide Using Bayer Process With Production Capacity Of 1,400,000 Tons/Year is feasible to be established.
