This preliminary design outlines a factory for the production of anti-dandruff
shampoo using methyl ester and diethanolamine through an amidation process,
incorporating aloe vera, cundlenut, and rose perfume. The factory is planned to
operate for 300 days a year, with a production capacity of 2,190 tons per year. The
proposed location for the factory is in the Medan Industrial Area 2, Medan Belawan,
North Sumatra, Indonesia. The required land area is 7,707.7 square meters. The
planned business entity is a Limited Liability Company (PT), and the organizational
structure is a line and staff format, requiring a workforce of 118 employees. The
economic analysis of the anti-dandruff shampoo factory indicates an investment
capital of IDR 189,226,209,484, production costs of IDR 115,097,257,317, and a
net profit of IDR 35,276,121,480. Key economic metrics include a Profit Margin
(PM) of 30.23%, Break-Even Point (BEP) of 53.89%, Return on Investment (ROI)
of 18.64%, Payback Period (POT) of 5.3 years, Return on Net (RON) of 31.07%,
and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 47.006%. Based on this economic analysis, it
can be concluded that the preliminary design for the anti-dandruff shampoo factory
from methyl ester and diethanolamine, using an amidation process with aloe vera,
cundlenut, and rose perfume, is feasible for establishment.
