dc.description.abstract | The pre-design of the plant for making monosodium glutamat from tofu pulp with a fermentation process has a capacity of 10,000 tons/year and operates for 330 days a year and requires 4,828.84 kg/hour of tofu pulp raw materials. The main process in the pre-design of this factory is the fermentation process with the help of Bravibacterium Lactofermentum bacteria. In the fermentation process, the reactor operates at a temperature of 35oC at a pressure of 1 atm producing glutamic acid with a reaction conversion of 98%. Followed by the neutralization process using a reactor at a temperature of 30oC at a pressure of 1 atm with a final yield of monosodium glutamate of 1,340.14 kg/hour.
The location of the factory is planned in Maos District, Cilacap Regency, Central Java with an area of 23,615.9 m2. The factory's water needs are sourced from the Serayu River. The planned form of business entity is a Limited Liability Company (PT). The planned organizational form is a line and staff organization with a required workforce of 200 people.
The results of the analysis of the economic aspects obtained are Capital Investment (CI) of IDR. 325,068,633,862, Total Cost (TC) of IDR. 290,504,599,518, Profit Margin (PM) of 37.51 %, Break Even Point (BEP) of 53.16 %, Return On Investment (ROI) of 19.6 %, Return On Network (RON) of 32.66 %, Pay Out Time (POT) of 5.1 years, and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 21.17%. From the result of the economic analysis, it can be concluded that this plant is feasible to establish. | en_US |
