Designing a Ticket Booking Information System Using the Waterfall Method
Abstract
The current development of information technology facilitates the dissemination of
information needed by the public to access all kinds of information. Travel is one
of the types of transportation used by the public for long-distance travel. Currently,
CV. Adiguna Travel has not yet developed an information system for ticket
purchasing and expeditions digitally and still uses a manual system. This can cause
problems or difficulties for the public, especially customers, in booking tickets and
expeditions. Booking travel tickets via phone sometimes encounters obstacles such
as agents being unable to answer calls or being on other calls, and queues occur
where prospective passengers must come to the ticket counter. To make it easier for
the public to book tickets or expeditions, an Android-based application was
designed using the Waterfall method. This system is an application that functions
for booking, car rentals, and expeditions. The design of this Android-based
information system allows customers to avoid having to go to the company and
facilitates staff in recording expeditions at the company.
