Implementasi dan Efektivitas Penggunaan Sistem Manajemen Dokumen (SMD) di PT Bank Sumut

Abstract

Background: PT Bank Sumut, as one of the largest state-owned banks in Indonesia, needs a Document Management System (SMD) to ensure the effectiveness and implementation of all regulations issued by the bank. This aims to improve good corporate governance (GCG), as well as compliance with applicable regulations, such as those issued by Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority. Document Management System (SMD) is an important solution to improve operational efficiency in the era of digitalization. Objective: This study aims to provide insight into the positive impact of the implementation of the Document Management System (SMD) on the Bank's operational efficiency as well as to study the obstacles faced, such as slow access if used simultaneously and challenges in providing the latest information to all employees. Methods: This study uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observations and documentation. Results: The results of the study show that there is a positive impact of the implementation of SMD on operational efficiency. However, there are obstacles such as slow access when used by many employees and problems with effectiveness in providing the latest regulatory information. Conclusion: The implementation of the Document Management System (SMD) at PT Bank Sumut has a positive impact on operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. However, there are challenges related to system performance and the dissemination of the latest information that need to be overcome to improve its effectiveness.
