dc.description.abstract | Background: Office layout and facilities are important elements in an office to
support the achievement of organizational goals. When carrying out a job, one of
the factors that determines its success is the arrangement of the work space and the
completeness of office facilities that are good and in accordance with employee
needs.
Objective: This research aims to determine the influence of office layout and
facilities on employee performance in the Central Government Agency Supervision
Sector 1 (IPP1( of the North Sumatra Province Representative Financial and
Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).
Method: The subjects of this research were employees and staff in the Central
Government Agency Supervision Sector 1 (IPP1). Data collection instruments in
this research used questionnaires, observation, interviews and documentation in the
IPP1 Sector.
Result: The results of the research show that the arrangement of the spatial layout
and completeness of office facilities in the IPP1 Sector has a good influence on
employee comfort so that employees can feel an atmosphere that supports the best
possible implementation of their duties. These two things have an influence on the
performance of employees in the IPP1 field to be more effective and efficient and
able to provide output/maximum result.
Conclusion: The influence of the BPKP office layout and facilities in the IPP1
Sector is good so that it can support employee/staff performance. By implementing
the combined office layout concept in the IPP1 Sector, it creates a smooth
communication flow so that activities in the IPP1 Sector can run in accordance with
the stipulated provisions, and are supported by adequate office facilities which are
complete in quantity to support employee performance. | en_US |
