Aktivitas Antioksidan Mikro M Kapsul dari Ekstrak Daun Wungu (Graptophylum pictum LGriff) Kitosan Menggunakan Metode DPPH
Antioxidant Activity of Micro M Capsules from Wungu (Graptophylum pictum LGriff) Leaf Extract Chitosan Using the DPPH Method
Abstract
Background: The wungu leaf plant (Graptophyllum pictum l), also known as purple leaf, contains various compounds such as flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids, sitosterol, glycosides, anthraquinone, carbohydrates, coumarins and saponins which are very beneficial for the human body. Micro M Chitosan capsules can be made using the ionic gelation method, namely the chitosan solution is cross-linked with a polyanion cross-linker such as NaTPP. The advantage of the ionic gelation method is that the process is relatively simple and easy. Determination of antioxidant activity in this study used the DPPH method. The antioxidant activity test method with DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) was chosen because the DPPH method is a simple, easy, fast method.
Objective: to determine the antioxidant content in micro M capsules of wungu leaves (Graptophyllum pictum l).
Results: The results of this study show that the IC50 value of micro m capsules is 1.3769 mg/ml and quercetin as a comparison is 2.6636 μg/ml
Conclusion: Micro M wungu leaf extract capsules have very weak antioxidant activity.
