Employees are the key to a company in facing increasingly fierce business competition, especially for startup companies, which are newly established. One way for a startup to survive is by having employees who are highly loyal and committed, which can be achieved by focusing on their emotional intelligence and job satisfaction. However, the researcher found that there are issues faced by startup employees in both aspects, leading to a lack of employee engagement and a decline in overall company performance. The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between the variables of Emotional Intelligence and Job Satisfaction with Organizational Commitment among employees in several startup companies operating in Medan City. This research also aims to analyze the influence of Emotional Intelligence and Job Satisfaction on the phenomenon of a lack of employee commitment in improving performance in these companies. The research was conducted using a quantitative method with an associative approach. Data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires to 60 employees using a simple random sampling technique, supported by secondary data such as various books and previous studies. The data was analyzed using instrument testing, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing as tools for data interpretation. The researcher found that the variables of Emotional Intelligence and Job Satisfaction significantly influence the variable of Organizational Commitment, with respective levels of correlation and influence of 83.5% and 68.7%. The results of the research show that employees who have good levels of emotional intelligence and job satisfaction tend to be more committed to improving the performance of their company. Companies should enhance employees' emotional intelligence and job satisfaction through research, training, and discussions.en_US
