Human resources play crucial roles in advancing companies, especially in bankings like Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Padangsidempuan. Company needs to pay attention employees’ conditions, particularly regarding career development and job security, mental well-being, as well as the work environment and facilities. However, company’s turnover rate has been relatively high over the past year, as evidenced by more employees leaving company than joining. It’s been found that fears of career threats, assignments perceived as inadequate, and unsatisfactory work environment and facilities are the causes of this turnover.
This study aims to examine the relationship of Job Insecurity, Work Stress, and Work Environment in explaining the phenomenon of Turnover Intention among employees at BSI Padangsidempuan. This study also aims to analyze influence of these three variables on the process of turnover in that company.
This study was conducted using quantitative method with associative approach. Data was collected through distribution of questionnaires to 32 employees, who also represent the entire population of BSI Padangsidempuan, supported by secondary data such as various books and previous studies. The data was then analyzed using instrument tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing as tools for data interpretation.
Researcher found that Job Insecurity, Work Stress, and Work Environment have significant impacts on changes in the Turnover Intention variable, with correlation and influence level of 96.3% and 91.9%, respectively. The results of the study indicate that factors related to these three variables are the causes of employee turnover at BSI Padangsidempuan.
