This research aims to explore the social construction of the BNKP Sei Semayang Church congregation in interpreting women as leaders in the church. This research was conducted using descriptive research methods with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used in this research are in-depth interviews, documentation and literature study. The results show that the social construction of the Sei Semayang BNKP Church congregation has diverse perspectives. These differences in views are influenced by the diverse backgrounds of the congregation. The diversity of congregational backgrounds gives rise to various social constructions of women that apply in the church, including the level of women's assertiveness, the level of women's mobility, potential and gender in leadership, and the existence of skeptical attitudes by women. This social construction can emerge influenced by the patriarchal values held by the Nias people and the patriarchal values that develop in the church. The meaning analyzed through social construction theory by Peter L. Berger in this research includes the dialectical stages of the emergence of social construction in the social life of members of the BNKP Sei Semayang Church, where these stages include the stages of externalization, objectification and internalization.en_US
