Background: Rantiti (Cipadessa baccifera) is a plant from the Meliaceae family which is widely used in traditional medicine. The Rantiti plant contains a series of terpenoids, steroids and flavonoids which some of these compounds have the potential to treat diarrhea. Fractionation is carried out to obtain compounds based on their polarity level for the purpose of isolating purer compounds. Objectives: This research was conducted to determine the strongest antibacterial activity of the ethanol extract, n-hexane fraction and ethyl acetate fraction of rantiti leaves against the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella thypi. Method: The simplicial powder of rantiti leaves was extracted by maceration method using 96% ethanol solvent. The ethanol extract was fractionated by liquid-liquid extraction with n-hexane and ethyl acetate solvents. The ethanol extract and fractions were tested for antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella typhi using the agar diffusion method with paper discs. Results: The results of antibacterial activity tests of ethanol extracts, n-hexane fractions and ethyl acetate fractions of rantiti leaves have the greatest activity in the atasilacetate fraction at a concentration of 400 mg / ml, namely against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria, that is 12.66 ± 0.25 mm, while against Salmonella thypi bacteria, that is 10.73 ± 0.7 mm. The test results also showed that the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) in the ethanol extract and ethylacetate fraction was concentrated at 3.12 mg/ml, while the KHM in the n-hexane fraction was concentrated at 6.25 mg/ml. Conclusion: Ethanol extract, n-hexane fraction and ethyl acetate fraction of rantiti Cipadessa baccifera (Roxb. Ex Roth) Miq. Have antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella thypi bacteria which are bacteria that cause diarrhea.en_US
