This study seeks to explore the perceptions of librarians regarding the use of the Senayan Library Management System (SLiMS) at the University of Medan Area Library. It employs a descriptive research design with a qualitative approach. The research data comprises both primary and secondary sources, utilizing observation and interviews as the primary data collection methods. The findings of the study indicate that all informants, in their capacity as librarians, are familiar with and regularly utilize the Senayan Library Management System (SLiMS) as the primary library automation system employed at the University of Medan Area Library. The informants reported that SLiMS significantly facilitates the completion of various library tasks. Furthermore, all informants characterized SLiMS as user-friendly, accurate, reliable, secure, and easy to learn, leading to a high level of satisfaction with its use. All informants expressed that SLiMS facilitates the efficient completion of various tasks within the library. While some informants perceived the design of SLiMS as standard, others considered it to be satisfactory. Overall, the informants expressed a high level of satisfaction with the use of SLiMS. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the librarians' perception of SLiMS at the University of Medan Area Library is overwhelmingly positive.
