This research discusses the physical structure and inner structure in the lyrics of
the song لولاك /lawlāka/ by Maher Zain. The purpose of this study is to describe
the physical structure and inner structure contained in the lyrics of this لولاك
/lawlāka/ song. This research uses structural theories put forward by Wahyudi
Siswanto and Herman J Waluyo. This research is a literature research using a
descriptive qualitative approach method. The data collection technique in this
study uses the record reading technique and the data analysis technique in this
study uses a data reduction model, data presentation and conclusion drawn. The
data in this study is the lyrics of the song لولاك /lawlāka/ sung by Maher Zain,
while the source of the data is the Awakening Records YouTube channel. The
results of the study show that there are 6 elements of physical structure, namely
diction, image, concrete words, majas, rhymes, and typography. The diction found
in the lyrics of this song is 22, the images found are in the form of visual imagery,
auditory imagery and internal sensation imagery, concrete words are سائل /sā'il/,
majas found are majas metapora, majas questions, and majas repetition of words,
rhymes that end in the similarity of the letters ه (hu) and the letters نا /nā/, as well
as typography that is square, as well as 4 elements of inner structure, namely,
theme, taste, tone, and mandate. The theme in this study is about divinity (praise
and supplication to Allah SWT), the feelings found are humility, confidence
(believing), admiration, gratitude, generosity, and hope, the tone in this song
describes the gratitude and plea of a servant to the grace of Allah with full of
appreciation and emotion, and the mandate of this research is to invite us to reflect
on the importance of submission and devotion to God in all aspects of life. The
conclusion of this study is that the lyrics of the song لولاك /lawlāka/ describe the
deep relationship between a servant and his Lord, showing gratitude, humility,
and supplication to Allah, which is expressed through the choice of words,
imagination, and the use of various majas and rhyme patterns that support the
theme and feelings to be conveyed.
