    Abstract
    In this digital era, the phenomenon of FoMO Fear of Missing Out) has become an inseparable part of people's social lives, especially young people. Students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (Fisip), University of North Sumatra USU) as representatives of the millennial generation and generation Z, have not escaped the impact of FoMO. The lifestyle of Fisip USU students is influenced by various factors including the social pressure caused by FoMO. Therefore, research on the influence of FoMO on the lifestyle of Fisip USU students is relevant to be studied further. This research aims to gain an in-depth understanding of how FoMO affects the lifestyle of USU Faculty of Social Sciences students. Through an interview approach, this research also aims to identify strategies used by students in coping with FoMO and its impact on their lifestyle. This research method uses a qualitative approach with data based on in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that FoMO has an influence that makes understanding and causes the lifestyle of USU Faculty of Social Sciences students. Some students have their own strategies in overcoming the pressure of FoMO, but the impact on lifestyle can still be felt. FoMO has an impact that cannot be ignored on the lifestyle of USU Faculty of Social Sciences students. The researcher recommends that more attention is needed to the mental well-being of students in dealing with the social pressure generated by FoMO. Education and psychological support need to be improved so that students can better manage FoMO and create a more balanced lifestyle.
