Abstract
This article is entitled Cooperation in Mangrove Management in Paluh Sibaji Village, Pantai Labu District, Deli Serdang Regency. This research aims to explain how cooperation is carried out in mangrove management and how this cooperation can be formed between several parties who collaborate and what form of cooperation is carried out in mangrove management which is of course related to the sustainability of the mangrove ecosystem, then what is the multi-party involvement in cooperation in managing mangroves and what are the aims and benefits of cooperation in managing mangroves.
The research method used to conduct this research is to use a qualitative method which aims to make it easier to obtain data regarding the cooperation referred to in mangrove management, both from the factors that cause this collaboration to be formed for mangrove management. In addition, this research method is expected to be able to represent actual conditions in the field by using data collection techniques in the form of: observation of management activities, mangroves and nurseries; in-depth interviews with mangrove managers, beach managers, one of the village communities and from the village, especially the village head: documentation of activities regarding the condition of the mangrove forest, several mangrove species and fields for planting mangroves.
The results of this research show that the cooperation carried out is how the mangrove management is formed, what activities they carry out, the relationship with the person responsible for management directly and indirectly, then in mangrove management it is also seen from its form, the obstacles experienced, then the form of cooperation What is done is by planting mangrove seeds to expand the mangrove ecosystem, multi-stakeholder involvement also needs to be seen. Starting from what role and participation they provide to the mangrove forest.. Then the results of this collaboration certainly have the goals and benefits of collaboration in mangrove management.
Based on the results of research and interviews with informants, researchers concluded that cooperation in mangrove management is very necessary because this is for the sustainability of mangrove forests in Paluh Sibaji Village and not only here, but in other places cooperation is also needed. mangrove management.
