Kepercayaan Masyarakat terhadap Lancang Kuning sebagai Pengobatan Alternatif Penyembuh Penyakit Langka di Desa Panipahan Kecamatan Pasir Limau Kapas

Abstract

Human interaction in an area gives rise to a culture, namely the result of thought, wisdom or customs that are passed down from generation to generation. Lancang Kuning is a culture of the Panipahan Malay tribe, Pasir Limau Kapas District, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province, which has been inherited from ancestors from generation to generation. Until now, Lancang Kuning is used as a healing medium. This research is entitled "The Trust of the Panipahan Community (Pasir Limau Kapas Subdistrict) Rokan Hilir Regency in LancangKuning as an Alternative to Rare Diseases". The formulation of the problem is how does the Panipahan Community Trust in Lancang Kuning as a tool to cure rare diseases and what factors support the community still carrying out Lancang Kuning treatment as a tool cure for rare diseases. The purpose of this research is to find out how the Panipahan community trusts Lancang Kuning and the factors that support the community still carrying out Lancang Kuning treatment as a means of curing Panipahan's rare disease against Lancang Kuning. This research uses a qualitative method oriented towards field research with an anthropological approach. Data sources are generated from interviews, observations and documentation. Based on the research carried out, the results showed that the public really trusts the process of implementing Lancang Kuning to treat various rare diseases that cannot be treated by medicine, such as diseases that come from human action (witchcraft), diseases that come from the sea and diseases from land. . People who carry out the Lancang Kuning process are due to hereditary factors from their ancestors and artistic results, so this tradition is still carried out in Panipahan and people still believe that Lancang Kuning is a very important medicinal medium in the treatment of rare diseases.
