dc.description.abstractThis thesis examines the development of democracy in Brasil after the COVID-19 pandemic. This research aims to analyze how the pandemic has affected democratic institutions, public political participation, and Brazilian government policies. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, namely research that aims to present facts and events systematically and accurately and analyze their truth. The data collection technique in this research is by literature study. Based on the discussion that has been made, the COVID-19 Pandemic presents itself as a challenge to the Development of Democracy in Brasil. The COVID-19 pandemic which is increasingly spreading is one of the causes of weakening democracy in a country. The pandemic can threaten democracy through shrinking civic space and malfunctioning of the media. as a platform for public debate and sharing of opinions. The COVID-19 pandemic has also become a challenge for society and the state government. Therefore, policies are needed that consider public health and the welfare of society in a country.en_US
