This research aims to analyze gender specific language in hidden Figures 2016 using the theory of Feminist Stylistics proposed by Sara Mills (2005). This research used a descriptive qualitative method to examine how gender is represented in the movie script. The data in this study were in the form of words, phrases, sentences, and discourses organized through categorization. The application of feminist stylistic theory proposed by Mills to each level in this study shows that this movie opposes how men and women are still treated differently. Women are often described through terms with negative connotations, compared to bad things or inanimate objects, and black women were portrayed negatively and degraded in terms of their physical appearance, and role as women and belonging to the Negro race without looking at their achievements. Women in this film challenge traditional gender norms by portraying female characters who dare to achieve their dream jobs, resist objectification, have achievements, and express their opinions to fight against marginalisation in language contexts.en_US
