Abstract

This Final Project was conducted at SMPN 1 Labuhan Deli. The purpose of writing this Final Project is to understand the School Library Management at SMPN 1 Labuhan Deli. The research method used in this Final Project is a descriptive method, with data collection techniques including literature review, observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the management of the school library at SMPN 1 Labuhan Deli includes: 1) The library has work plans that consist of short-term, medium-term, and long-term planning. 2) The organization of the library consists of 7 staff members, none of whom have a background in librarianship. 3) Library activities at SMPN 1 Labuhan Deli include collection inspection, stamping and dating, labeling, collection maintenance, and reference services. 4) The supervision in SMPN 1 Labuhan Deli's library applies two main approaches: direct supervision and periodic reporting.
