This study aims to analyze of promotion through Instagram-based social media in introducing and increasing the popularity of Mari Pro Villa Tourism at Lake Lau Kawar, Naman Teran District, Karo Regency. The research method used is to collect data through surveys and observations of Instagram users related to the destination. The results of surveys and observations show that promotion through Instagram significantly contributes to increasing the number of visitors and public awareness of Mari Pro Villa Tourism. Factors influencing the effectiveness of promotion through social media include engaging content, interaction with followers, and the use of relevant hashtags. This research provides valuable insights for local tourism managers in utilizing social media as an effective promotional tool.
