| dc.description.abstract | This research is entitled "Langkat Regency Regional Museum (2003-2015)". This research process uses a historical method, starting with determining the topic. Next, the heuristic stage (collecting sources), the author uses primary sources in the form of archives, photos, and interviews. Furthermore, using secondary sources in the form of books and journals. The sources are then verified (criticized), through external criticism to obtain the authenticity of the source and internal criticism to produce the credibility of historical facts. Then, the results of the verification are interpreted in the form of analysis and synthesis to produce a historical narrative. Finally, historiography, reconstructing the historical facts that have been collected. The results of the study show that the existence of the Langkat Regency Regional Museum is based on the history of the Langkat Sultanate which has an important role in the history of East Sumatra. In the process, the identity of the Langkat Malays was marginalized in society because of historical events as well. This encourages the presentation of collective memory by establishing a museum and there is also intervention from local government policies. Since the establishment of the Langkat Regency Regional Museum from 2003 to 2015, it has played a significant role in tourism, education, and economy. | en_US |
