Partisipasi Masyarakat dalam Pengelolaan Sampah pada Bank Sampah Desa Pematang Johar Kecamatan Labuhan Deli Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Abstract

Waste is a problem that cannot be solved by the government alone without the contribution of public awareness. In today's life, waste is the most difficult problem to overcome because the more human life increases, the more waste is produced every day. Waste Bank is one of the programs that is present to overcome the waste problem. However, its presence has not had much impact on human life itself. This is because there are still many people who do not know about this waste bank program. This thesis discusses Community Participation in Waste Management at the Pematang Johar Village Waste Bank. In order to explain this, the research approach used in this research is qualitative with descriptive type. The characteristics of informants in this study are the management and customers of the Pematang Johar Waste Bank. The results showed that the participation pattern described was in the form of participation background, form of participation, level and typology of participation as well as factors that encourage the participation of waste bank members in waste management activities at the Pematang Johar Waste Bank.
