In general, humans in their lives experience development from each series of structured periods starting from the prenatal period to the elderly. Elderly people are a period of time when people are very at risk of loneliness resulting from disturbances in their social relationships from time to time. Paying attention to this problem, the government has formulated various policies, programs and activities to support the health status and quality of life of the elderly so that they are independent, healthy and efficient so that they can reduce or even not become a burden on the family and society. The North Sumatra Social Service through the Binjai Elderly Social Services UPTD has the aim of providing social services to elderly people so that they are able to function socially. This research aims to find out how resilient the elderly are in facing loneliness at the Binjai Elderly Social Services UPTD. The key informants in this research were administrative staff who worked at the Binjai Elderly Social Services UPTD. The main informants were 5 elderly people, and the additional informant was 1 psychologist. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews, documentation and case study methods. The data obtained will be processed using descriptive methods with a qualitative approach. As well as obtaining conclusions from the UPTD for social services for the elderly in Binjai, the impact of focusing on religious activities. The programs provided by UPTD for elderly social services in Binjai really meet the mental and physical needs of the elderly. In this case, the elderly feel that the presence of the UPTD social services for the elderly in Binjai really helps them enjoy their life in the institution. The elderly also look clean, healthy and well-groomed.
