Dampak Pernikahan di Bawah Umur terhadap Kesejahteraan Keluarga (Studi di Kecamatan Medan Barat)

Abstract

This study discusses the Impact of Underage Marriage on Family Welfare in Kecamatan Medan Barat. Underage marriage is a social phenomenon that still occurs frequently in various regions in Indonesia. This is considered normal by some people, but it remains a serious concern because continuing cases can affect family development and the welfare of the next generation. This study aims to determine the impact of underage marriage on family welfare in Kecamatan Medan Barat. This research seeks to understand its impact on important aspects such as economic stability, household harmony and family welfare. This research used a qualitative method and was conducted at the Kantor Urusan Agama (KUA) Kecamatan Medan Barat. Based on observations and interviews, the results showed that cases of underage marriage that occurred in Kecamatan Medan Barat were caused by several factors including economic factors, educational factors, parental factors and promiscuity factors. The impact experienced in underage marriage on family welfare is physical and mental health conditions, economic problems and family harmony that affect family welfare.
