This research aims to examine the effectiveness of watching english movie clips in enriching vocabulary of young adult learners. Method applied in this research was a quasi experimental design with pretest and posttest nonequivalent comparison group design. The populations used in this study were 92 students of English Department Faculty of Cultural Science Universitas Sumatera Utara. Thirty three students were taken purposely participated in this research. Pre and post tests were the instrument utilized in this study to gather data, and SPSS 26 was used by the researcher to perform statistical analysis and provide a quantitative description of the results. The results of vocabulary enrichment using movie clips revealed that the experimental group mean post test is higher than the control group mean post test (0.8397 > 0.5015) indicating that there is a significant difference. This can be seen from the results of the analysis using the Mann Whitney test with a significance level of 5% which presents that the value of p (sig.(2-tailed)) = (p=0,000; p<0,05) meaning that Ha is accepted.
