dc.description.abstractThis research aims to assess the potential for coffee cultivation in Siborongborong District based on a survey. Survey research on coffee cultivation potential was carried out in people's coffee plantations in Siborongborong District, North Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra Province at an altitude of 1100 - 1500 m above sea level. The research was conducted using a descriptive method using survey techniques. Sampling was taken using the Stratified Random Sampling. Then, analysis of soil samples was carried out at the Research and Technology Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra and Laboratorium Penguji Balai Penerapan Instrumen Pertanian Sumatera Utara (BSIP). The research results showed that Siborongborong District has the potential to become a coffee producing area with a land area of 249.85 ha and productivity of 516 kg/ha/year, has a specialty taste with the highest score of 83,25.en_US
