During the postpartum period, there is a decrease in the production and release of breast milk on the first day after giving birth, which is caused by a lack of stimulation of the hormones prolactin and oxytocin, which play an important role in the smooth production and release of breast milk. Oxytocin massage is one way to overcome irregularities in breast milk production by massaging along the side of the spine (vertebrae) up to the fifth or sixth rib bone. The purpose of this senior practicum is to apply nursing theories and concepts, especially maternity nursing, in carrying out oxytocin massage in the nursing care of postpartum mothers after caesarean section. Nursing care was carried out on 20 May 2024 - 24 May 2024 for post-SC postpartum mothers in the maternity inpatient room at Prof. Hospital. Dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis University of North Sumatra by doing oxytocin massage, non-pharmacological pain management and education to replace sleep pattern disorders. The results obtained after nursing care were carried out, the patient responded very well and enthusiastically when given education and oxytocin massage. Patients and families understand how to do oxytocin massage and its benefits, pain management and management of lack of sleep by replacing it during the day. Education is given to patients and their families to continue oxytocin massage at home so that breast milk production remains smooth.
