Pengelolaan Pelayanan dan Asuhan Keperawatan pada Ibu Hamil dengan Emesis Gravidarum melalui Aplikasi Akupresur dan Aromaterapi di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Medan Johor

Abstract

Emesis gravidarum is a condition of nausea that is often accompanied by vomiting during pregnancy and creates discomfort to the mother. Effective nursing care management is needed to improve the quality of life and well-being of the mother and foetus. This senior practice aims to apply nursing theories and concepts, especially maternity nursing theories and nursing concepts, especially maternity nursing, through the application of acupressure and aromatherapy in nursing care for pregnant women with emesis gravidarum. The method in this senior practice is a case study which was conducted on 18 May - 22 May 2024, on three clients managed in the Medan Johor Public Health Centre Working Area. Nursing assessment results using the Rhodes Index Nausea Vomiting and Retching (RINVR), it was found that the three managed clients experienced moderate nausea and vomiting. Nursing diagnosis of nausea associated with pregnancy is established. Nursing interventions for nausea and vomiting management through non pharmacological techniques of acupressure and aromatherapy were carried out for three days. Results nursing evaluation obtained a decrease in the nausea and vomiting index score, which nausea and vomiting index score, which shows a reduction in the frequency and intensity of nausea and vomiting experienced by the three managed clients. Application of non-pharmacological techniques of acupressure and aromatherapy in nursing care aromatherapy in nursing services, and increasing client and family knowledge about acupressure and aromatherapy and family knowledge about acupressure and aromatherapy, are expected to be able to overcome the the problem of emesis gravidarum in pregnant women.
