Pengelolaan Pelayanan dan Asuhan Keperawatan pada An. I dengan Demam Typhoid di Ruang Rawat Inap Anak Rumah Sakit Prof. Dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis Universitas Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Typhoid fever is an acute infectious disease caused by Salmonella enterica suvspecies enterica serovar Typhi (Salmonella Typhi). Typhoid fever is still high in Asia, at 81 cases per 100.000 population per year. The prevalence of typhoid is mostly found in the school age group (5-14 years) which is 1.9% and lowest in infants (0.8%). Typhoid fever cases reached 15,233 with a proportion of 23% confirmed, ranking third of the ten largest types of diseases in inpatient rooms. The group at risk of typhoid fever who are hospitalized at Prof. Dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis Hospital, University of North Sumatra are children under the age of 15 years 7.20%. Typhoid fever is also a cause of death in Indonesia (6% with n = 1,080), especially in the age group of 5-14 years typhoid is 13% the cause of death in that group. The evaluation results obtained after the tepid sponge technique was that the hyperthymic problem was resolved in An.I and seen in An.l the body temperature became 37°C. This Senior Practical activity conducts studies by conducting interviews and observations. The results of the study obtained documentation regarding nursing care that was not optimal in terms of providing health education carried out in the pediatric inpatient room of Prof. Dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis Hospital, University of North Sumatra. So that based on the problem, it is necessary to improve atraumatic care nursing services, increase nursing care by applying evidence base nursing, implement comprehensive nursing care with appropriate nursing care standards and carry out nursing documentation.
