    Abstract
Sectio caesarea (SC) is a surgical delivery process by making an incision in the abdomen and uterus. As a result of surgery will cause pain in post sectio caesarea mothers. One way to overcome the problem of pain in SC postoperative patients is with non-pharmacological therapies such as deep breath relaxation. The purpose of this senior practice is to apply nursing theories and concepts, especially maternity nursing, in the application of deep breath relaxation techniques and providing nursing care to patients with postoperative sectio caesarea pain. Nursing care was carried out on May 21 - 22, 2024 to postoperative patients by performing non-pharmacological pain management. The results obtained after the application of deep breath relaxation techniques are that the pain scale decreases from scale 5 to scale 2. Patients are cooperative when taught deep breath relaxation techniques and respond well to the application of deep breath relaxation techniques. Patients understand how to manage pain non-pharmacologically, so that patients are able to practice deep breath relaxation techniques independently when the postoperative wound feels painful. It is hoped that the hospital room will be able to provide education about deep breath relaxation in order to increase patient independence to overcome pain in postoperative wounds.
